After aging two separate new charred American white oak casks, this unique triple cask matured whiskey is then finished in fine Spanish Port wine casks to add exceptional smoothness and hints of plum, raisin and candied fruit to complement the traditional rye spice notes. The dark honey amber color of this whiskey offers caramel, vanilla, and hints of winter fruit on the nose. The flavors offers all the traditional notes of a well-balanced rye along with lots of rye spice balanced by caramel, vanilla and maple syrup notes opening into hints of prune, fig, date, and raisin before the long, clean finish of winter fruit sweetness, dark baker’s chocolate and leather.
