A fter aging two separate new charred American white oak casks, this unique triple cask matured whiskey is then finished in fine Spanish Port wine casks to add exceptional smoothness and hints of plum, raisin and candied fruit to complement the traditional rye spice notes. The combination of all the barrels also imparts a distinct dark baker’s chocolate note to the palate and finish. The dark honey amber color of this whiskey offers caramel, vanilla and hints of winter fruit on the nose. The flavors offers all the traditional notes of a well-balanced rye along with lots of rye spice balanced by caramel, vanilla and maple syrup notes opening into hints of prune, fig, date and raisin before the long, clean finish of winter fruit sweetness, dark baker’s chocolate and leather.
